Early April moths at Cnwc

It's still really quiet here but sunshine today & 1st Swallow of the year leave me hopeful for tonight.
A few bits & pieces:
Oak Beauty to the porch light on 3rd April
Spring Usher to a window on 7th April
Mompha subbistrigella flying early morning on 10th April, luckily intercepted with a hand as I hadn't got a net with me.

Also I looked up from a friend's wedding reception near Llanllawddog on 6th April and saw an Orange Underwing flying overhead at 4pm!

  1. I had a very similar Mompha interception with M. divisella in my Cardiff garden recently (sorry for out-of-county post!).
