Hummingbird Hawkmoth on Buddleia
I noticed this in the back garden and rushed for the camera.
That's a magnificent buddleia, Adam, and the excellent photo quality that I can only dream of getting with my compact digital camera. No HBHM sightings here so far this year, partly because the red valerian has declined and buddleias have either died or suffered severe setbacks. This is very puzzling because I have always considered them to be almost indestructible.
Great photos Adam. We have only had this species twice so far this year (July)- on red valerian
ReplyDeleteA garden first for me.
