Firsts for the year in Burry Port

 I moved the trap to the front garden to see if it would make a difference and maybe it did. My first Elephant of the year was lovely if slightly worn.

And I haven't had Burnished Brass for a while. Despite being relatively common I always find the gold patches astonishing. 

Every year a few moths land in my trap which have me puzzling, thumbing my books and looking online. The curved forewings and ground colour of these individuals helped my decision.
