Actinic traps were tried on Monday night (frosty, no insects about), Wednesday night (milder, a few moths and wasps) and last night (cold, two moths, no wasps). Two FFYs were Black Rustic and Pink-barred Sallow. The only other additions to the record sheet were Setaceous HC 4, Brimstone 2, and singles of Heart and Dart, Large YU, Chestnut, Copper Underwing sp. and a very small Willow Beauty:
I shall continue with a regular trapping routine but probably won't bother on clear evenings with the threat of frost, such as tonight.
