The usual moth suspects were in the home trap at Tyrwaun, Pwll last night (2/7), including another of the elm-associated pyralid Rhodophaea formosa (photo below). It has only been recorded at this sole site, but I`m sure it will also occur in the elm-rich hedgerows of the Bynea-Llwynhendy district (SE of Llanelli), in the Pinged area of the Lower Gwendraeth, and possibly at Llansteffan too, which additionally has ample field/English-type elms.
Above: Rhodophaea formosa.
