I had a small, pale, noctuid in my thin, wet, trap this morning. I wondered if it was small Mottled Willow but it looked nothing like the examples in my books. I used an app which told me it was Army Beet Worm, something I had never heard of. It has another name though - Small Mottled Willow.
In the photograph the orange oval is clear.I also had an attractive Crambid.
Catoptria pinella which I had previously in 2020.
A single small mottled willow (on 20/6) was my only migrant (apart from 2x separate diamond-backs) during the recent immigrant influx.
ReplyDeleteIt was a first for me so I was very pleased.
