Interesting Pyralid in Burry Port

I trapped again last night and had a less numerous but more diverse trap - only 8 T. acroxantha!

I found a micro which I first took to be an Acrobasis species.

On closer inspection and with internet help I fell on the Ephestia genus. As it was outside and came to light in my garden perhaps this is not one of the pest moths but Ephestia woodiella (was unicolorella). All advice gratefully received.

  1. Looks like it, Adam. I`ve not seen one myself. Well done.

  2. Some sources say gen det but they're usually associated with warehouses and food stores.
