Graig Magic

We are all familiar with Graig Farm, which is located to the south of Llandovery, due to the outstanding moth records made there by Stephen Ruttle in recent years. Last night he produced another new county record for Carmarthenshire in the form of a Tunbridge Well Gem, a photo of which can be seen below. It may well be the Carms macro-moth record of the year - full marks, Stephen! It was accompanied by c 50 rusty-dot pearls, 2 pearly underwings, 2 vestals, a scarce bordered straw, a gem and Palpita vitrealis. What a catch!

                                                         Photos above: Stephen Ruttle.

Postscript: George Tordoff informs us (see comments below) that the above is also new to Wales. Another worthy achievement for Stephen!
