Bancyffordd 11/09

Not much going on with the MV at the moment. I disturbed this moth at the bottom of the garden this morning. Think it is a Caryocolum sp. poss. tricolorella? Anyone able to confirm or point me in the right direction?

  1. Looks like a Mompha species to me, Andy, possibly M.bradleyi?

  2. Thanks once again Chris, I think you are correct with Mompha. Looks quite similar to the images of M.divisella that I have now looked at. I have kept it.

    1. Yes I think you're right Andy, divisella has been the most frequent Mompha species seen here, mostly in my old woodshed which was (sadly) demolished circa 2018. I don't think that I've seen divisella since then, and I've never had bradleyi.
