This week I have had several reports of Hummingbird Hawkmoth here in Rhandirmwyn, and despite keeping an eye out in my flower rich garden, I have seen nothing. Then late this morning, my husband arrived home in the pouring rain, from a fishing trip, walked in and told me there was a Hummer on the flowers at the front door. It was gone by the time I got there….
A better trap last night, nothing exciting but 10 first for the year including Green and Dark Arches, True Lovers Knot, Light Emerald and a Barred Red. And a few micros at last, plus 9 assorted Elephants. Happy Days.
