 Actinic traps went out last night and the result was much the same as last time, only more so, 108 moths of 13 species came to light.  Small Quakers (29) and Hebrew Characters (24) accounted for almost half of the number.  The most notable event was the arrival of Tawny Pinion, a species which I usually see at least once during the year:

  1. Thanks Ian. It was slightly disappointing that of the 108 moths this morning there wasn't a single micro. I'm waiting for one of your Pammene giganteanas to wander this way - not holding my breath though!
