Recently, in late July, Bronia Lee caught a noctuid that she could n`t immediately recognise at her home trap site at Drefach Felindre in the Teifi Valley. A photo sent to Sam allowed him to immediately identify it as a crescent dart, normally a species of coastal cliffs. It is known from the cliffs of SW Carmarthenshire but the source of the Drefach individual is more likely to be from the Ceredigion coast and it may well have strayed up the Teifi on a `hot night wandering flight`.
