The two traps used last night, Robinson MV and Skinner actinic, attracted 58 species in mild, overcast conditions. Most of them were regulars for this time of year, but worthy of note were Sharp-angled Carpet, Miller, and Tortrix viridana (our version of Cream-bordered Green Pea!):
Other FFYs included Rosy Footman, Garden Tiger, Small Dotted Buff, and the micros Lozotaenia forsterana, Celypha striana, and the Bramble Shoot Moth Notocelia uddmanniana.
Smart moths, which I've never had. Grrr.
ReplyDeleteI have the same thoughts every time I read your blogs, Adam! In your latest one the last moth looks like A. hastiana to me, hugely variable, never two the same.
