The Hairy-eyed Cranefly Pedicia rivosa (Pediciidae) was highlight in the Cnwc MV on 18th August: it's an uncommon wetland species with a very distinctive wing pattern. Supporting cast included 1 Tawny-speckled Pug (new to Cnwc), 1 Dotted Carpet (3rd for Cnwc), 1 August Thorn, 1 Satin Beauty, 1 Ling Pug, 1 Devon Carpet, 1 Prays ruficeps, 2 Hedge Rustic, 1 Feathered Gothic and a bunch of Ear agg.
August Thorn rests with its wings held really flat, unlike September Thorn
