I rarely use the Mercury light trap these days as we are off grid and it uses a lot of power. As we have had such an abundance of sun and wind this week the batteries are well charged so I used last night and was rewarded with two firsts for me - an Eyed Hawkmoth and a Toadflax pug plus lots of the usual species for this time of year. I am struggling with this tiny one - only 9mm - so if anyone could help identify I would be grateful.

  1. I suggest a very pale or worn green pug Sally.

  2. Thanks Ian, the markings do look like green pug. The white colouring threw me and look that worn!
