Pontyberem night of 22/23 April
Species count up to 29 this morning in the mild humid air.
Barred Umber was my best macro, Semioscopis steinkellneriana is always nice to see and my highlight, which I have only seen once before in 2007, was a male Incurvaria masculella
Thanks both. I'm afraid the piece of bark came from a felled Walnut tree in Gloucestershire where I trapped over the weekend but I'd be interested to know the lichens. I sometimes do try to identify them, and have a separate folder for them, but really must get the lichens book and try harder. I don't think I've seen the very fine yellow one before so I'd love your ID!
Stunning photographs, as always, many thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAnd some interesting lichens too!
