No Christmas Crackers!

I thought that I`d try a trap last night (25th Dec) to see what was around at my new regular trap site at Stradey, west Llanelli. I was encouraged by the possibility of S or SE winds bringing something more exciting. In the event there were no migrants in my Christmas Day (or rather, night) trap, though I did have six species: winter moth (2), satellite (1), December moth (4), mottled umber (12), red-green carpet (1) and Blastobasis adustella (1).
I`ll probably give trapping a go tonight too...

Above: some of last night`s moths - mottled umber, December moth (x2) and satellite.
