Stephen Ruttle has just sent me this photo of Antigastra catalaunalis from last night`s (13/10) trapping session at Graig Farm. Another first class record of this rare migrant from the tropics and southern Europe - and a NCR - from Graig.
Well done Stephen - I`m jealous!
Excellent record - wishing now that I'd put the tap out last night too. It's on now so fingers crossed for something half as good as this - congratulations Stephen
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are as yours Barry. I did `half-consider` putting the trap out on Sat night as moths were coming to my kitchen light, but the thought of more `monsoons` put me off. I put the trap out on Sunday (last) night, but all residents except for some silver ys.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. A very handsome little moth. It always looks too delicate to travel so far!
