I was out looking for Marsh Fritillaries with Amanda Evans today. Though we didn't see any, perhaps due to the strong wind, we did chance across a Striped Wainscot low in the vegetation. It had a beautiful pink flush to the edge of the hindwings, but wasn't compliant enough to display this in a photo.
At a second site later in the day, a Valerian Pug was seen near a large stand of Common Valerian. Apart from a Drinker larva there was remarkably little else around (presumably due to the wind).
