On Norway Maple...
The photos below show Norway maple leaves (from a planted population at Llanelli) collected today. Is it Phyllonorycter joannisi perhaps - or something else? Please correct or confirm.

Yes, P. joannisi, the miner formerly known as P. platanoidella. It's having a good year in Cardiff - I usually see them in small numbers but there are lots this year.

ReplyDeleteLooks like Dave has beaten me to it. The linear mines on snowberry look very old and it's unlikely they can be identified to species.
