Cwmllwyd, 20 September 2016. It was a cool night here last night, so I wasn't expecting too much at the MV trap this morning. This turned out to be an accurate prediction - 39 moths of 19 species were in attendance, with five of them FFYs. The newcomers were
Ypsolopha parenthesella x2, Grey Pine Carpet, Pink-barred Sallow and two shown below:
A couple of Green-brindled Crescents,
Along with just one of these (in a vain attempt to keep up with Ian and Chris)! First one here since 2006.
A very nicely marked Pinion-streaked Snout; not uncommon here, seen five times this year.
Congrats on re-joining the `Vestal Club` Steve!
ReplyDeleteThat was a moth fest Steve, my Actinic last night attracted 8 common moths - no more Vestals, but at least I had a LYU!
