A dry night, but still rather cold on the mountain.

Only 34 moths of 12 species visited the MV trap at Cwmllwyd last night and none were particularly unexpected, but we keep on trying!

Hebrew Character x11
Common Quaker x5
Small Quaker x4
Oak Beauty x3
Early Grey, Beaded Chestnut and Shoulder Stripe, all x2
along with singles of Pale Brindled Beauty, Early Thorn, March Moth, Clouded Drab
and one micro;

Agonopterix ocellana.

Erratum: for "Beaded Chestnut," read "Red Chestnut."

    I'm assuming Beaded Chestnut is a typo Steve, I don't think it's known to fly beyond the autumn. You say 'only' 34 moths but that would be a record breaking catch in my garden at this time of year!

    I would n`t worry about the `brain fades` or typos....I do them with great regularity, especially as the summer season lack of sleep kicks in! Well done for trapping.
