Typically I caught the commoner and near-identical
Nothochrysa capitata in my garden a month or two back ... at least that's what I made it at the time. In future I'll be checking out the tarsal claws (which look right for
capitata on the high res. image) and measuring the wings. For ref the key features separating the two are as follows:
