A quick walk around the garden last night (21/7) resulted in the netting of this slightly worn Caloptilia rufipennella.
Sweeping by day ( I had 20+ species on my recent quick visit to Machynys) and `dusking` in the late evening does, as others have said before me, bring `mothy dividends`. It is particularly good for catching micros.
