I put the Heath trap out last night, high up in our top field at Cwmllwyd. It's rough grazing with a lot of bracken (with good plants to come: masses of whorled caraway, for example). It's bounded by a well wooded deep ravine (oak, ash and larch, where the buzzards have their nest), so the trap was sheltered from the wind which got up during the night. Only ten species, including nineteen Brown Silver-lines; common as muck, but FFY nevertheless.

  1. Nothing ventured, nothing gained Steve....does n`t matter...you scored well with glaucous shears on Friday night.
