Quick Post

Not having trapped for `n` days, I was hoping to trap last night - but it looked so clear and felt really cold! I`d already set the trap up in readiness, so I flicked the switch on, but not really in great anticipation. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the trap was n`t empty this morning, in spite of a slight touch of ground frost.
Amongst the seasonal regulars (of just 9 spp and 31 individuals) was the year`s first flame shoulder and a red green carpet, the latter being a species that hibernates. It was a nice, really green individual but - alas- it was not an autumn green carpet (which also hibernates).
