A lucky find of Grey Shoulder-knot

On 4th April I spent an hour examining a fallen Ash at Cwrt Henri for lichens (lots of Candelaria concolor; 2nd Carms record).  To my surprise I found a Grey Shoulder-knot resting on a lichen-covered branch.  This appears to be the first record of this uncommon species for SN52, though Ali Heath/Baird might have caught one while she was based in the hectad (I've only partly uploaded her data).

  1. Nice one Sam! I`ve never seen/caught a grey shoulder-knot here on the coast, so I`m jealous!
    I may now take up lichens....
