No interesting moths to report (no trapping done here recently) but I make no apology for this diversion: an attractive little hoverfly in my polytunnel this morning, I believe that it's Chrysotoxum bicinctum:
Probably not an uncommon species but I don't recall having seen one before, maybe that's because they're normally moving quite rapidly and the distinctive features are less obvious.
