Moths at Saron

Started trapping again last week and so far all the usual species for this time of year. I found this Mompha divisella (thanks Sam for confirming) a few days ago flying around some plants outside the greenhouse. I have not had this species here before. Sam said they were quite rare about ten years ago but now seem to be the commonest Mompha. I see Chris, who is not far from me, has caught this species a few times. It was extremely active, even after being put in the fridge so hard to photograph.

  1. Yes, divisella has been the most abundant Mompha species here for some years now, Sally, it's not surprising that you've seen it too.
