Llanelli Naturalists member David Thomas sent me this photograph of a death`s-head hawk-moth caterpillar that he discovered in his potatoes at Bynea, Llanelli.
I thank David for letting me know of this very interesting find. I also congratulate him on his discovery. I wonder how many more (undiscovered or undocumented) such caterpillars are munching around on potato foliage in allotments and gardens?

I've checked my spuds, no luck unfortunately!
