The forecast of another mild overcast night had me putting the trap out in hope rather than expectation. I was rewarded with some firsts for the year.
A handsome pair, Spectacle and Double Square Spot.
And finally I get some "Hawks." The Poplar Hawk is so much more handsome with its wings outstretched and Lesser Elephant is always exquisite.
Finally I found a specimen of the American import, Argyresthia cupresella, the Cypress Tip Moth. I had this last year on June 14th and have again inserted it into the Carms moth template.
It's minute, but quite handsome for all that.
