I set up the actinic on March 15th and was rewarded the folowing morning with nearly 60 moths for 18 species. First for the year were Yellow Horned, Early Grey, Clouded Drab, Red Sword-grass, Brindled Beauty plus Double Striped and Brindled pugs. 20 small Quaker made up the numbers with Chestnuts and other Quakers. I also had what I believe to be Agonopterix umbellana, which, if so, is quite a nice record according to the list.
See Sam's post on 22 February re umbellana, Jane
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. I’m hoping, as they have been caught here previously.
ReplyDeleteBTW Chris, did you know that Dave Grundy is hoping to run a course at Margam in July. No dates yet. I’ve put my name down.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me, Jane, I was booked on last year's cancelled course and may well try for this year's, but having been self-isolating for the last 51 weeks it's not an easy decision to make!
