It looked good for trapping last night, so out went the garden traps, but only c 25+ species were present this morning - much less than on the same date last year. Relative highlights were scarce footman (x1), wormwood pug (x1) and Endotrichia flammealis. A photo of the latter is offered below.
Above: the pyralid Endotricha flammealis is said to feed during its larval stage on decaying leaves. I`ve recorded it here before, as well as at my previous Pwll garden and elsewhere near Llanelli.
