A wet night in Burry Port
The rain was somewhat heavier than forecast and the trap was quite moderate. I had a few FFYs including Barred Straw. However I hadn't had Dark Sword Grass for a couple of years.
Broad-barred White seems to have quite a restricted range in Eastern Carmarthenshire and first turned up in my trap last year.

The only migrant that I`ve had this year were some silver-ys recently. I`ve not had a broad-barred white this year (I had it twice last year), so it looks that you`re very much in the lead for this local Carms moth. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a couple of Silver Ys but not in the trap, randomly in the garden. Also had a couple of Diamondbacks.
