Northern Drab at Pembrey Country Park, 22/3/20
I took advantage of what seemed a reasonable chance for a moth or two on the edge of the woodland in Pembrey Country Park.
Just six moths after what was a chilly night with Oak Beauty, Hebrew Character, a believed Northern Drab and a worn Chestnut.

It has since been confirmed as a northern drab by several experienced moth recorders. A really first-class record by Paul who persevered in his belief in his belief it was this species. A good find, Paul - keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is a nice record, I was sceptical at first but then saw the photo in Chris Manley's book (2nd edn. p319), it's a dead ringer!
