It seemingly rained for much of the night, from 10.00 pm, when I first went out (and immediately went back in) to about 6.00 am when fine drizzle dampened everything, including yours truly!
A worn rusty-dot pearl and an equally tatty yellow belle were of some interest, as was a lesser wax moth Achroia grisella.
Above: the worn yellow belle. I suspect that the bothersome and restless hordes of LYU`s contribute to the `wear and tear` of other moths in the trap.
Above: the lesser wax moth. A beekeeper has hives in woodland next to my garden and they are a likely source of this infrequently-recorded species.
