Some new moths and some big moths

There was a fair haul last night, dominated by Garden Grass Veneer, with a resergence by Heart and Dart and Dark Arches. An impressive Drinker was very welcome.
As was a Copper Underwing, the underside showed no hint of orange.
I found a curious micro, very dark with cryptic crosslines at one third and two thirds. Is this Pyla fusca?

And finally a new macro for the garden.
I believe this is a Fern.

  1. You`ve `scored` again Adam. Pyla fusca and especially the fern are good records; presumably the latter was a wanderer from the S part of Pembrey Burrows where its food-plant (Clematis) grows. Fine photos too.

  4. I meant to say that the Fern reminded me of a giant pug sp. Predictive text attempted to thwart me.
