The usual MV/Actinic combo was out last night but there was very little activity. I checked the traps at 10.15pm and closed them down at 5.15am, and didn't see a single moth on either occasion. Later this morning it was a pleasant surprise to find a dozen moths in each trap, nine species recorded, nothing too exciting although it was nice to see a Pale Pinion:
This species is not a regular visitor here, only the seventh record in ten years of trapping. The Tawny Pinion caught on 7 April was the seventh record of that species, too.
