Bent down to look at what I thought was going to be my 2nd Purple Hairstreak and realised I was looking at a L-t Blue - wings closed. Showing contrast in flight brown/blue so female. No photo yet but seen it twice and will now spend some time in the far too hot sun.

I have not been able to relocate the adult. I have looked at the flower head of the lupin where I saw it on two occasions and have located one small blue\green egg laid in the flower head. If anyone would like to borrow my lupin and have a go at hatching or indeed validating at the egg stage, please let me know. I understand that there is a butterfly farm in Aberystwyth so all my excitement may be over an escapee.
