Bleached Pug at Cnwc
A Bleached Pug was the star among 55 species to MV at Cnwc-y-llwyn, Brechfa on 29th July. I have only caught one before at Cnwc - in 2010. This is a very localised species in Carmarthenshire, with the vast majority of the 31 records being made by Jon Baker at Nantgwyn (Trawsmawr) and Pembrey, and just a smattering of one-off sightings from: Telpyn Point, Glanrhyd (Brechfa), Byrgwm (Brechfa), Abernant (Brechfa), Carmel Bog, Cwmdu, Taliaris, Rhandirmwyn (2 records) and Graig (2 records).
Also nice were 4 Bordered Beauty, 1 Small White Wave, 1 Peach Blossom, 2 Dark Marbled Carpet, 1 Turnip, 1 Scalloped Hooktip, 1 Satin Prominent and 1 Niditinea fuscella.
