A few second brood species greeted me this morning while early morning rain meant that emptying the trap was going to be a "just pot anything that looks different and mind the wasps" event.
Probably missed some things but a couple of new ones: Chequered Fruit-tree Tortrix at one end of the scale and nice Small Purple-barred at the other, a Milkwort feeding species that was quite numerous when I was living on the North Downs in Kent, can't say that I have seen any Milkwort locally.
The milkwort that is likely that this moth is using in Carms is heath milkwort, rather than the common milkwort of calcareous downs in SE England. Here in Wales, heath milkwort occurs sparingly in `rhos` pasture and more frequently on forestry rides.

Yes, I found heath milkwort in several place around Mynyddcerrig last year. Not yet found it up here....must try harder.
