52 species last night in Burry Port

Only a single Elephant graced my trap last night, accompanying my first Dark Arches, Buff Arches, Sharp Angled Peacock, Cypress Carpet and Scorched Wing for the year.

I also had this Wainscot which I think is Common but could be Smoky. Any opinion on the identity of this handsome moth will be gratefully received.
This Shoulder-striped Wainscot was a first for me
A couple of new micros made an appearance, first Notocelia rosaecolana
And lastly, Orthotaenia undulana

  1. Looks like a Smoky Wainscot to me Adam. Common Wainscot seems to be scarce in South Wales these days.

  2. Curses! Thanks, what are the deciding features?
