Cwmllwyd 5th December 2017

Probably the last trapping of the year, I think. Just 19 moths of three species; December Moth x 17, with singles of Winter Moth and Feathered Thorn. Time now to collate the year's data for dispatch to Sam. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.

  1. A few more than me, I had just 12, December, Winter and Mottled Umbers. As it's so mild I have belatedly put the porch light on and 2 Mottled Umbers have taken up residence already.

I am lucky enough to be off to Sri Lanka for Christmas so hope to see a few beauties there.

Hope everyone has the best of Christmases and all stockings contain at least a new book from Atropos, or a lovely new trap. Hint, hint!!!!!

  2. Should have added that on Sunday the 3rd I disturbed two Agonopterix heracliana while replacing some trellis - they were presumably hibernating on clematis. A Mottled Umber visited the kitchen window the same evening.
