Mystery Moth
Help needed with identifying this little chap, caught two nights ago. I'm really stumped. Everything similar seems to appear at least 6 months away!! Thanks in advance. Jane H
Moth are related to butterflies, belonging to Lepidoptera. Most Lepidoptera are moths. Most spices of moth are nocturnal, but there are also crepuscular and diurnal species.
Jane - the consensus is that it`s a pale mottled willow, as suggested previously. I sought and received the opinion of both Sam and George.
