They do it with mirrors

Clare had left a large mirror in our barn - I'm not quite sure why - so last night (30/9) I propped it up behind my MV and ran the trap sheltered from the rain.  Results were pretty good, with nearly 100 individuals of 25 species.  To be honest, I'm not sure whether the mirror made any difference to the catch!  34 Black Rustics dominated, but there were plenty of other autumn species.  Migrants were represented by just 8 Silver Y and a Dark Sword-grass, but the previous night a Vestal appeared at a lighted window.

  1. Nice variety. Have you the names of both moths 2nd row down, and for the right hand side moth 3rd row down?
