More slugs than moths at Pwll...

Very briefly, an unexpectedly poor catch last night (16/5) with only a dozen or so species of moth, though some were FFYs (eg setaceous hebrew characters, scalloped hazels, clouded bordered brindle etc). Three more orange footmen support Barry Stewart`s comment that this species is increasing in Glamorgan and the same may now be happening in our county. As I remarked in my last blog, I`d previously had this species once or twice in the early 2000s then - from memory - none until recently.
The micro Hypatima rhomboidella was also caught - an early record as it`s supposed to fly from July, though other species have been very early this year.
