Any ideas?

Two from last night, I have no idea what they are. Any

help gratefully received! I have more pictures if needed.

  1. They both look like Mottled Grey to me, but at least two months too early. Rampant climate change in SN74?

  2. Yes, thanks Steve it makes sense now. I suspect that Jane has pinched the Nat Bot Garden dome to put over Rhandirmwyn, so that her local moths get an early start!

  3. Have just looked in Daffyd Davies' records and he has Mottled Grey recorded as first caught on 24/1/1983, 30/1/1984. 9/2/1990 30/1/ 1993. Most other dates are March and April so perhaps my two are seasonable catches for Rhandirmwyn?

  4. And Dave Grundy on Facebook - Recording Moths site has a photo of one from Prawle Point on 23 Jan 2016.
