The last trap of the year
I put the trap out last night as it was mild and misty, and was rewarded with a sporting selection!
5 Mottled Umber, 2 Winter moths, 1 Spruce carpet ( I think), a Pale Brindled Beauty (my first) and a surprising Angle Shades.
Happy New Year
Well done indeed Jane! Pale brindled beauty is nice to see - under-recorded in Carms due to its winter to early spring flight season, and one for others to look out for. I think too that it`s a spruce carpet that you`ve got there. I`m sure that, come the spring, there`ll be plenty of interest coming from your Rhandirmwyn trap.
