Moths at Saron, Llandysul
Have been trapping regularly and getting a good quantity of moths of various species typical for time of year. This one I haven't caught here before. I think it is Catoptria margaritella.
The answer is yes Sally, I've had one at this time of year both last year and in 2014, also C.pinella, but not so far this year. They are stunning lookers!
That's correct, Sally. We get them up here at Cwmllwyd, too. An upland species; I wonder how far down into the valley they venture?
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve, we are a hill farm at around 600 feet but with varying habitats. Not sure if Chris Handoll, not far from me, gets these too?
