I include, with permission, some of Chris Manley`s superb photographs of moths caught last night at Nant y Bai lead mines, just north of Rhandirmwyn. These absolutely first-class photographs are almost works of art, as well as being sharply in focus. Also note the vivid lichens on the lead mine spoil rocks.
Above: beautiful snout.
Above: dark brocade.
Above: Crambus pascuella.
Above: Rhopobota myrtillana.
Above: looking up the valley, this time with me in the photo.
All photos: Chris Manley.
